I absolutly loved shooting Lauren and Joes incredible summer wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn  , I knew it was going to be an amazing day from the moment we first spoke. If you are dreaming of a barn style wedding venue, Sandhole Oak Barn should definitly be one of your top choices. It is one of my favourite wedding venues to shoot at, set inside 400 acres of beautiful Cheshire countryside with stunning lakeside views.. what is not to love!

It has so many great features to enjoy from the moment you arrive starting with the beautiful sweeping driveway leading to the landscaped gardens and then over to the rustic barn and the clock tower which is the perfect romantic setting for any type of wedding celebration. The staff at Sandhole Oak Barn and Top Table catering never fail to impress with their attention to detail and their lavish fine-dining.

Lauren and Joes wedding started with bridal preparation in The Granary   and groom preparation taking place a few doors down in The Small Barn. Lauren’s make up was done to an extremely high standard with a collaboration of talent by  3 Wishes Cosmetics and MJB Artistry  while hair was styled by Shazna Iqbal bridal hair. After the hustle & bustle of bridal preparation we walked into the adjoining bridal suit of the Granary which is a lovely area to dress the bride with full length mirrors and heaps of space. Lauren then slipped into her incredible dress from Blush Bridal Boutique  and of course… what bride doesn’t love a pair of Jimmy Choos! Once Lauren was ready to rock, the only thing left to do is get married!! The ceremony room (the main barn) is literally next door meaning regardless of the weather you have very little to worry about and with an August wedding date the weather was just right. Yes, a little gray for August but very mild, we were extremely lucky considering the bad weather we had in previous weeks.

The main barn looked incredible with the help from all the wonderful staff at Sandhole Oak Barn and Alison from Lasting Memories. So while Joe stood looking incredibly nervous at the top of the isle, Lauren began to wow her guests (and of course her nearly husband Joe) by making her way slowly down the isle lead by her proud dad. After Joe was nearly reduced to tears, the vows exchanged and the rings given the new Mr & Mrs Lovell sealed the deal with that all important kiss.

After the ceremony Lauren and Joe headed outside to capture some portraits and left their guests to enjoy the flowing champagne with a side of canapes served by the staff from Top Table.  Sandhole Oak Barn couldn’t be a more romantic place, from the elegant French doors leading out to the countryside, the scenic landscape gardens and the tranquil lake that the venue looks over. We took a walk around the venue grounds capturing some stunning portraits as we went and as soon as we were finished, the bride and groom headed back to receive quite possibly a million hugs and congratulations from their awaiting friends & family.

The guests were then called to start making their way inside as it was nearly time to take their seats for the moment they had been waiting for… the free meal! I’m joking of course!!   The guests then made their way to their allocated seats while Paul Antony Shaw Pianist worked his magic on the resident piano.

Following on from the wedding breakfast the speeches were held, the top table framed by french doors overlooking the Cheshire countryside as the sun set at Sandhole Oak Dining Barn .

As always in the evening we are able to head out one last time for a few of our night time portraits using some flash and a few other futuristic gadgets (quite possibly classified) before it was time to head back into the rustic barn to get the Greatest Show ever started. The Dance floor rocked all night and the guests loved the music played by Gillan Edgar 4 Piece band  .

I cannot thank Lauren and Joe enough for having me be a part of their day and allowing me to capture their wedding day, it was an absolute pleasure.
